Welcome to Thru-Hike for a Cure

In 2003, Daniel Potter was preparing physically, mentally, and emotionally to tackle one of the greatest accomplishments of his life – completing a Thru-Hike of the Appalachian Trail (AT). With the memory of his friend Joe in mind, Daniel hiked over 2,160 miles, raising $11,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

In keeping with the tradition of a “Thru-Hike,” in 2004 Daniel decided to hike the entire length of Hadrian’s Wall in England. That journey ended with an Oktoberfest fundraiser, adding more funds in the fight against Hodgkin lymphoma.

And in 2005, Thru-Hike took a big step in our fundraising efforts by hosting our first Hike-A-Thon in Morristown, NJ. With this event, we continued to raise more money to help fund a research project through the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Thank you for your support during this journey.
